I've had this front load washer for approximately two months. The only thing I am not sure about is the wash time and the amount of water that goes into it.

When I choose the quick wash, it seems to wash for only about five minutes, before it starts draining, then filling to rinse and then draining agian before the final rinse.

When I look in through the front door glass with a flashlight, it just doesn't seem to have much water in it, if any at all. The cloths are wet, but there is no excess water sloshing around. A couple of times, I did see more water but that was only a couple of times. I know these things are supposed to use less water, but is it supposed to look like there is no water in it at all?

I just finished doing a normal cycle and here are the times:

After water entered, it washed for approximately 12 minutes.

For the next 38 minutes, it spent filling, rinsing, spinning, draining, filling, rinsing, spinning and draining again.

Does this seem normal to wash for only 12 minutes on a normal cycle?

I am just finishing up a quick cycle and here are the times:

Started filling with water...showed 30 minutes on the readout.
8:10 started washing
8:14 started draining
8:17 started draining but it showed washing
8:17 filling up for rinse
8:20 filling and rinsing....lots of water in it..excess watrer you can see
8:23 draining
8:26 draining
8:29 spinning
8:31 still rinsing, and water entering
8:35 rinsing and lot so water visible
8:36 rinsing
8:37 draining...lots of water
8:39 spinning slow
8:41 fast spin
8:47 End

In summary it washed for approximately 4 minutes, and rinsed and spun for 30 minutes. Does this seem normal?

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Alex,

Your washer works pretty normal.

This washer has a few different devises to control the amount of water and time needed for each and every amount of load and a cycle chosen by you as the user.

I believe you can find answers on the most of your questions in the "Use and Care" book supplied with the washer.

I'll be glad to help you with any further questions but I'll need you to post the complete model number of the washer.

Gene.
