After replacing the spray arm and fixing the door leaks it is apparent that water was, and still is, also leaking from the Blower housing. That has to be because of an overfill situation based on the design of the blower inlet.

Researching the forums identified that sometimes the float will have buildup on it that makes it ride lower than what it should (forcing a higher than normal level). The float had such deposits, and cleaning the float noticeably reduced the blower housing leakage from and estimated 1/2-2/3 cup of water to a large tablespoon per normal wash cycle.

Leakage occurs during wash cycle, and watching the float level switch during that period indicates that the level in the dishwasher surges the full range of float switch rocker arm travel on a periodic basis (perhaps associated with spray arm revolution). So I suspect that the leakage is occurring during the high point of the surge at the blower inlet.

The float is also constantly rotating. Makes me wonder if the float stem has slightly shorted over the years of use. I did not notice any obvious issue; but, I may not know what to look for either.

Inspection after the normal fill cycle shows the water level just covering the heating element.

Ideas/suggestions?

Follow-up question that occurred to me this AM when I woke up: Could the real problem be the surging water levels in the machine. Why are they surging so much?

Thank you for your consideration and looking forward to any advice.
