I replaced the bearings and spider in my LG washer. Somewhere along the way, I found the part in the photo in the area where I was working. It's about 2" long. Not 100% sure it came from the washer (the basement is not very organized). I don't see the part in the washer's part diagrams and can't see any place where it would go. Any help figuring out if this is a part that I need for the washer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! adampizer attached the following image(s):

inserts into the hole under the top vent hose that goes from the back of the washer to the top of the outer tub just a few inches away (right side)
