How do I remove the trim/handle on my existing fridge (Hotpoint Mod#: CSX22EHB)? The trim strip is 61” long, full length with no access in the middle or ends that I can see. End caps slide out of the ends, but do not provide access to mounting screws, etc.I checked the appliancepartspro diagram for my unit and it’s not clear how it attaches but the slots on the back of the trim strip in the diagram appear to be rectangular which would suggest clips(?). However, the handles seem very firmly attached to the doors . Thanks in advance for your help. sierra101 attached the following image(s):

Some older styles you simply put a flat blade into the hole from the end cap and pry up on the trim itself and it will pop off of a screwed on track behind it. Some of them you had to slide up or down after removing the cap. It's hard to say which method works on that model though

I removed the end caps and was able to loosen the trim from the plastic clips up and down the door until I approached the door handle. At that point it is very tight - like it is bolted tightly down. I can't even get a credit card or thin screwdriver blade under the trim near or at the handle. I can't tell from the Appliancepartspro diagram for this model (Hotpoint CSX22EHB) if there's some heavy duty clip behind the handle or if it's bolted through from inside the door. Any other thoughts? Thanks again,

Nothing else comes to mind except it just may be tight. I can't imagine it would bolt from the inside. But I've seen crazier things too. I'm fresh out of ideas without being there myself. I'm sorry
