i e mailed you on questioning the sensor since the top element got red hot, if it is not the sensor is it the relay board or is it called the control board

Bill, It's most likely the upper oven relay board [AP2127302]. Since the ovens program, and the broil element got red hot, chances are the bake element relay has failed and is not supplying the voltage to the bake element.
