control module on door quit working altogether and soon after light inside went out and freezer quit working, replaced control module on door, now the freezer will run and the light comes on inside but the control module displays an E9 error code, my question is this, is the thermistor the problem and if so is it possible that either the thermistor shorted the contrlol module or vise versa. thanks for your support.

Click on the picture for more info and look at the FAQ etc for info on how to check it. Part number: AP3780724
Have you tried unplugging the unit for a couple minutes to see if it will reset. is it possible that either the thermistor shorted the control module or vise versa I cannot say. But since E9 looks to be an open thermistor if it did happen it would have been the board that blew the thermistor. An open thermistor cannot blow a board. |
