After replacing the door lock assembly, the washer works but makes a loud buzzing sound like a vibration. when I touch the door it stops but starts buzzing again. it is so loud I can hear it through the closed door of the washroom. I have ordered a striker but if that does not fix it, what else could it be?

Since the washer works I think maybe the problem is in the replacement part. Try a new one and see if that solves the problem. If you ordered from this site you can return the part if it was defective.
