I have a GE WCVH6800J0MS front loading washer. It will not fill with cold water, only hot. Rinse cycle will not work at all, but I believe that is cold water only but I may be wrong.
I checked the water supply. All is well. Ran the cold into a bucket with good flow. Checked the screens on the inlet valve, nothing blocking them.
From what I have read, it looks like the inlet valve? What can I do to check that? Any ideas. What else should I try?
If I switch the hot and cold line around, should it then fill with all cold and no hot?
Thanks for the help

You can use a volt meter to test whether or not 110-20 volts are getting to the cold water terminal when it calls for cold water, and if so then the valve assembly is at fault. It it is not getting voltage then the control unit may be at fault.
