During the agitation cycle if there was a heavy load of towels or jeans, the washer would occasionally go out of balance and knock. We would re distribute the load and the washer would stop knocking. The last time this happened however, the knocking didn't stop. Now it knocks all the time unless we put it on the delicate cycle. It doesn't seem to knock when it's on the spin cycle. Just wondering if you can tell what part I need to replace?

It is very difficult to diagnose a noise/knock like this from afar.
I suggest you take the cabinet off and check the support structure and springs, there may be a hairline fracture in the support system or a broken spring. Also check the pads that are on the frame, although if they were bad there would be problems in the spin cycle.
Finally, operate the machine with the cabinet off by by-passing the lid switch. You may be able to detect the problem when it happens.

OK, thanks. It always made this noise if we put a heavy load of towels or something in and they went off balance. But then we would re distribute the load and it would be fine. Now it just makes this noise all the time, like it's always out of balance.
