Hello, This is a very intermittant problem on the back large burner of our GE Spectra Stove. When using it at a low to medium setting , the burner will suddenly goto high or more? ,glowing red and burning whatever is on there if you dont catch it in time and turn it off. Would this be the element or thermostat. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you sure that the model number has a O in it asI cannot find one.

Odds are that the culprit is the infinite switch (thermostat) (item 19 in section 01).
