This freezer was working fine until last weekend. One of the kids got something out of the freezer, and did not put everything back properly. Consequently, the lid did not close all of the way. When I discovered this, I opened the lid and repacked the freezer. Water dripped out of the lid, when it was opened. This morning I opened it again, and some of the items in the top of the freezer were beginning to soften. Everything below the top layer is still frozen hard. I can hear the switch trying to start the compressor. It seems to start for a minute, and then clicks off. I am going to unplug it, and see if it will restart. Thanks.

I ordered a capacitor from APP and installed it tonight. The compressor started up, and ran about ten minutes before it quit. It was cooling and beginning to frost the inside walls. Everything seemed fine until it stopped. Could this have been a bad part? Help!
