My washer keeps long drain code. I have removed the tub and checked the pump inlet, checked the outlet hose and drain. Pump fail check and have replaced it, calibrated the system but still when it goes thru it's cycle it get stuck on long drain. I replaced the hose clamps thinking it was drawing in air from some were... Still long drains  ,,,, any thoughts?

I get that from my Whirlpool Cabrio from time to time. One day it aggrevated me enough that I lifted the back of the washer and slammed it back down rocking it several times back and forth. The pump kicked on and it finished the cycle. I believe that either the pump or the wiring has a short. It luckily hasnt done it in a while. You could hear a hum from the pump but not the same sound as when it is moving water, so apparently the shaft isnt moving the head that moves the water or the shaft isnt moving at all. When I slam it around and it starts working you can hear a definate difference from the pump. I believe I need a new pump!!
