Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/23/2015(UTC) Posts: 1		On this side by side model with thru the door ice and water,the bracket that holds the micro switches is prone to break causing the iceauger not to work or the water not to dispense. (Depending on which switchholder that is broken.) If your Ice Maker Auger does not turn, or there is no waterfrom the dispenser, check the micro switches behind the bezel on the freezerdoor. The switches are mounted on littleplastic pins that break off and prevent the switch from working! Most suggestions for the Ice maker auger repair suggest replacingthe motor. After replacing the $70.00 motor(No small task) and it still not working, I found the broken pins on theadapter bracket. Both pins were broken on the ice maker switch and one wasbroken on the water supply Switch. The new bracket from Sears costs about $12,00. And it isredesigned, so hopefully will not break again.
