My stove mdl # 790.90212012 has one burner that won't adjust its heat setting. It will turn off, but the temp adjust does not control the temperature. It feels normal when you turn the knob, but it stays on full hot no matter where the know points. I am guessing it is probably the control behind the knob, but would appreciate a more experienced opinion.

Hi.

Yes, you are absolutely right! It's the switch that controls the burner. There are two different types used in your range. From left to right on the console let's name them 1,2,3,4. The numbers 1 and 3 are the switches

Part number: AP3885460
Part number: AP3885460

And the 2 and 4 are Part number: AP3890378
Part number: AP3890378

Don't forget to unplug the range before opening the console.

Good luck. Please keep us posted with the results.

Simon.
