Ice maker quit making Ice. Original optic board light would not illuminate anytime including when door was held open with the door switch closed and flapper door held closed. Replaced optic boards ( ERP ).

Still No ice and no water/ice in tray.

New symptoms - optic board led flashes every second when door is held open, flapper door shut and door switch closed. No water /ice in tray. Verified ice maker solenoid vale is working by jumpering 110 directly to terminals. ( water did fill will jumper was in place.

Suspecting bad ice maker motor module. I am questioning the possibility of both the module and optics board s going bad a t the same time? Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks for you help in advance.:)

Hi.

Test the cycling thermostat inside the icemaker by installing the jumper wire between the T and H at the icemaker head. Turn the icemaker switch on and close the door. If the icemaker arm start rotating and icemaker fills up within the couple of minutes, replace the thermostat.

The icemaker thermostat Part number: AP3135377

Good luck. Please keep us posted with the results.

Thank you,

Simon.
