After the entire cycle completes the tub is still filled with the wash water, if I move the dial back to Rinse, I hear a humming noise. If I move the dial to spin, the water will drain and it will spin. I by-passed the lid switch on this washer years ago. Why would the washer not drain at Rinse but it will drain at Spin? What do these symptoms indicate and what can I check?

Probably a faulty timer. What is the model number of the washer?

Here is the link for the timer as I believe that is the problem. The timer can be returned if it does not fix the problem.
