Just fixed the broken water line to get the ice maker working again. As soon as it started making ice, the fridge now freezes. Prior to the water line breaking it did this as well, but did not do this while the ice maker was not functional. Any ideas?

Well, in case others have this problem. It seems like it might be the damper (diffuser) not closing the flap that lets cold air in when the freezer is cycling to make ice. Or at least that is the theory at this time.
