Had a new electrical panel installed in the house. The range was working fine prior to the work being done. There is power to the range however the display is not lit. If I turn a burner to an "on" position, the clock display turns on and I can set the clock. The burner does not heat up and as soon as I turn the the burner off the display goes off again. Is there any kind of reset available? Is it the control board?

Here is your wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...pringfield/316255141.pdfSounds like an electrical problem to me. Does the oven light work? If not then that also points towards an electrical problem. What is happening is that you are missing L1 side of the line (120 volts). This runs the board and the oven light. When you turn on a surface element L2 side of the line feeds through the element and then that side of the line runs the control board. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
