Hi - the on/off button no longer springs back out after use, so we cannot turn the dryer on. It feels like a spring is no longer in position. I am trying to remove the cowl and front control panel, but I am not sure how. I was able to remove one screw in the center, but two screws at each side are still holding the cowl in place, and I do not want to bend/force these plastic parts.

How can I remove the front control panel on this model and repair the on/off button?

Thanks!

Remove the main dial knob (pulls off)
Remove one screw
The control panel can now be lifted up and away from the dryer
Detach electrical connection
Remove screws attaching control panel circuit boards to panel

This reveals the on/off button. There is no spring; the button operates by bending the plastic from which it is molded. I repaired the button with superglue.
