Ice/Water dispenser weren't working yesterday. The LED for the selection of water, cube, crushed was continually blinking. Tried cycling the power and same condition persists. What I didn't realize until this AM is that the entire unit is not working. Lights are on inside, but both compartments are no longer cool and I haven't heard the compressor come on at all. Looking for troubleshooting steps to determine if it's the main control board or some other failure. I have the unit removed from it's space and have opened the back cover for the MCB and the compressor. Would love some guidance on how to troubleshoot.
Please help. -Chris

Okay, I'm thinking the problem is the evaporator fan motor. I did the troubshooting step in the forum entitled: "GE refrigerators (GS* & PS* models), the evaporator fan motor test and replacement."
Sure enough, the voltages were correct. I also noticed that with the evap fan motor disconnected, when I power the refrigerator up the compressor immediately fired on and I didn't have the blinking LED lights anymore. With the evap fan motor connected, the LEDs blink and the compressor will not turn on. Ordering the part, just need to figure out whether I need the one with the thermistor or not.
Would love someone to confirm this thinking.
