Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/3/2010(UTC) Posts: 16		Hi.. My wife tells me to go buy a new dryer, but since I've been in there and seen what its all about, its a lot cheaper fixing it. Now this thing is super hot (which is good) but never stops on the Auto cycle, which is bad because it burns clothes. I've checked the exhaust which has good air flow, so that's not it.. About a month ago I had to replace the heater element assembly which included a new thermostat on the side. Any ideas why it won't stop on Auto Cycle? Thank you

No auto cycle time advance 2. High heat For the no timer advance check/clean the moisture sensing strips (item 8 in section 05) The way they work is that a voltage is put across them. If there is moisture between them then a current flows. The control board holds the timer and it does not advance. When the clothes are dry, there is no moisture and therefore no current path. And the timer advances to off. The high heat could be a number of things but I would start by changing the temperature selection to see if the actual temperature changes.
