Have had ice build up on the inside of the fridge unit since we bought the home..Now finding mold on the inside in place not normally seen..Home warranty provided at day of sale is a joke..Thinking a seal is leaking..Any ideas

Here are your parts Parts for GE PSF26PGTBBB Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comLooks like the unit uses a spring and lever to close the doors so check if both are OK. Check that the unit is level front to back or leaning slightly to the back. Check that both the door seal and the fridge frame are clean. Take a 2 inch wide strip of paper and place it between the seal and the frame, then pull it out to check the seal. Work your way around both doors every 6 inches or so. Check the hinge side of the doors to be sure that the seal is not grabbing and twisting as the door closes. If it does a light coating of white lithium grease or Vaseline should solve this. |
