Hello All:

My Kitchen Aid over-the -range microwave does not seem to work. I checked the circuit breaker and that is fine. I verified that the outlet is working (inside a cabinet above the microwave). There is no response....and there was no event that preceded the failure. Where should I start in my troubleshooting? A faulty control board? Transformer failure.

The display shows nothing, the light and fan do not work weither.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

I hope you got the microwave fixed by now.

There is a cavity thermostat located on the top of these units that will go bad and cause this issue. Only a couple things could really cause this issue. Bad power, cavity fuse, of faulty control board.

If you have power to the board then obviously the board is bad.You can purchase that here by typing your model into the search bar.
