Yesterday I was cooking a turkey and left for an hour (bad I know). When I returned the oven seemed to have not stayed at 350 degrees and heated up to an unknown high temperature. It charred the turkey so badly and my house was full of smoke. I turned off the oven and it started beeping flashing F3. The oven continued to heat and the baking element stayed a bright hot orange. I unplugged the range and waited a few minutes. When I plugged it back in the oven started by itself and heated to a very high heat. I have a very handy husband who has fixed multiple appliances in the house but this one was a bit scary - I don't want to start a fire with something faulty. Could it be a do it yourself fix? Thank you in advance for your response.

Your model number is incorrect. This is the type of control board not the unit's model number. Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.comF3 is usually an open oven sensor on Frigidaire but since the oven starts up on it's own, I think that your control board/timer is shot. |

Thanks for your reply. I just got the number off of the booklet - I will have to find the correct one. I will probably contact someone to come take a look at it.
