I have a Maytag A108s washer bought new in 1980, always been in use. It has started chirping and the chirp turns into a squeal as the spin cycle ramps up. The belts are new as of about 5 years ago, I removed the belts, turned everything by hand, I can't detect anything going bad, bearing grinding, etc. The machine is level, doesn't bounce around, still works, just chirps and squeals. I have removed the front cover and ran it throug a load but I can't really detect where the noise is coming from. While running the motor and pump feel smooth. Please help, my go to old school Maytag repair man passed away, I'm lost! Thank you.
