All lights light up accept start. Nothing happens when start is pushed. Any help is appreciated.

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool KUDP01ILWH5 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Remove power from the unit.
Disconnect the control panel from the control board.
Check the start button output with a meter. See the tech sheet.

Sometimes it is just a dirty connection.
But as you can see the keys share circuit tracks (wires) so other keys woul also not work terefor I do not think this is yur problem.

If the start ket checks out OK then odds are that the control board is bad.

I've opened up the control pannel and unhooked the board. That has worked twice now but only for one wash each time I unhooked it. Then I get no lights at the start button again. Does this sound like control board or touch pannel should be replaced?

Thanks

Sounds more like a control board problem.

It is best to check the start key with a meter.
If it checks out OK then the odds are higher that it is the control board.
