I know I'm replying to an old thread but for the sake of google searches I hope this helps someone.
I had the leak that occurs in the fill tube which due to a crack and fixed that by replacing the part. You can find that procedure on the net in various places. About a year later i had a leak in the same area but discovered it was the rubber seal at the fill tube which had worked loose. it had swelled up and did not seal properly so i lubricated it with plumbers grease and put a hose clamp around the plastic to provide some resistance and that fixed that.
I took the top and lower front panel off and ran a load while i laid on my side with a flashlight looking for drips or a leak. Finally discovered that the drain tube from the pump to the outlet had been crushed and flattened which cause it to crack and leak. it was 3/4 of the way up the tube and hard to see. Turns out the tub housing has a plastic piece which limits the travel of the tub when it is off balance. The tube had come out of the holding clips and lined up with the piece which crushed it Could not find a new part so is picked up a piece of plastic tubing from Lowes and cut out the bad part and spliced it together. Had to use silicone seal, rough up the tubing, put hose clamps on it and tied the clamps together with mechanics wire. Washer does not leak anymore.
Hope someone finds this and it helps them fix a little known source of leaks. on the GE Front Loaders.
