I have as Admiral Capacity Plus top-load washer (almost 5 yrs. old). When it gets to the rinse cycle it won't stop filling up! Sometimes it does it when it initially starts filling, but usually only on the rinse cycle. Possible bad water level switch? Is this something I can fix on my own? HELP! :(

We had the same thing happen to the same model on Saturday, flooded our condo, downstairs condo and garage.

Father-in-law used to repair washers, so he took a look and thought it was the pressure switch (water level) made by EMZ that was broken. I changed that this morning, but even on the small load the water doesn't shut off and I still saw some leaking, so had to spin the water out. (now have a new plastic tray the washer lives in).

Water stops when you kill the power. Still have the leaking aside of the water not stopping though

Any other thoughts?
