The other night we noticed our oven's top element never turned off after reaching the desired temp. Burned the food. I checked the resistance of the temp probe and it was between the 1000 & 1100 ohms. Does that mean it must be the electronic control board? Also, is there a way to replace just a part of the control board? So expensive for such a "young" oven.
Thanks for your help.

If the broil element stayed on, the relay on the board has welded contacts. The oven control will need to be replaced. That relay is part of the oven control and is not replaceable individually. The correct control for your model is available at the link below. Whirlpool W10157242 Cntrl-Elec - AppliancePartsPros.com
