The belt broke on the dryer. The tech replaced the belt and cleaned the blower. Ever since the inside of the drum has smelled like skunk and the clothes are now rewashed and line dried ... I cannot use the dryer :( Tech says that whatever it is is in the drum because the cabinet itself does not smell.
Any ideas on what is going on. Tech says that they have never seen anything like this and have basically said it is my problem.
I've run a towel with white vinegar through the dryer ... It smelled of vinegar until the next load and then it made clothes smell.
It is not the washer ... washed a load and took them elsewhere to dry ... smelled fine.
I can't afford a new dryer ... any ideas on what this is would be appreciated. :)

Yea. I replaced the belt and drum rollers with Chinese parts and it smells like skunk now. Probably the china rubber.
