Last evening we had a power surge - My microwave beeped and my Kuirig coffee maker turned off - When I looked my Electric range display was blank - checked breakers and they were on - None of the controls work for the oven or broiler and the display is dead including the clock - But the electric cooktop works !

Any idea what it could be ?

Did you try flipping the breakers off/on.
Sometimes they can disconnect part of the line without actually tripping.
Also if the control board is locked up removing power from the unit for a couple minutes may reset it

If the above does nothing then odds are that the control board was blown.
