My washing machine sounds like a jet plane during the spin cycle. Extremely loud. It does not move around a lot just makes a horrible racket. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also just started to make a squeaking sound every now and then as the load is washing? I'm guessing something needs to be greased? Please advise.

Sounds like your bearing is going out which is common for whirlpool front loaders made in the last 7 years.........grab the metal drum when it's off and see if it moves between the plastic tub that surrounds it..........if it moves more then 1/4 of an inch your bearing is most likely bad. Here are some video's demonstrating a bad bearing. And if it is a bad bearing get rid of it it'll cost you more in labor and parts then it's worth.
