Our stackable Maytag gas dryer has issues with intermittent lighting of the burner - I've already ordered the gas valve coils/solenoids for repair, but I'd like to know if there's an easier way to get to the coils for replacement than what I'm seeing.

The dryer is the top appliance in a washer/dryer stack. The base of the dryer is angled, and that angled cover comes off easily, allowing me to see the burner, valve etc. The gas valve assembly is at the rear of the dryer - I can probably get to it to replace the coils, but I'll need a right-angle screwdriver and it looks like it will require long arms, tiny fingers, and probably considerable cussing to get the old coils out and the new ones in. There's no obvious back plate to remove, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to access the back of the dryer to service these parts?

First off your unit is not a stackable it's called a laundry center there's a difference between the 2. and just remove the panel #13 on this diagram and you should be able to access it somewhere from there.

I was able to remove the cover plate shown in the parts diagram. Had to buy a little ratcheting, right-angle screwdriver kit for a few bucks, but was able to get in and replace the coils.

Good new is that the dryer runs like new now, for the first time in a couple of years. Also took the opportunity to vacuum all the lint from everywhere clean the outside vent line, and replace the connection hose from the dryer to the vent.

This is a great resource! Thanks for providing this, as well as the fast service on the coils I purchased from you.:)
