Our Frigidaire side by side stopped working properly after a snow storm when generator was used for a few days. We can manually restart it daily yet unit shuts down over night. We have thoroughly cleaned vents, compressor, replaced the Freezer Control Switch part #5304421768. Any ideas on what could be happening or how to fix?

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire FRS26HF7BB2 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com

If the compressor, it's fan and the evaporator/freezer fan are all off then you may be going into a defrost cycle and it is not coming out of defrost.

Since it seems to have blown when using the generator the adaptive defrost board (item 23 in the Control Parts) section is most likely blown.

Many generators have lots of spikes ontop of the 120 volt AC especially at higher current draws and these spike can play havoc with electronic parts.
Best to have a surge protector for the fridge, to hopefully reduce the risk of problems.

Sorry but I did not see the above reply back in August.
You have to find out which fan is running.

If it is the condenser/compressor fan then the defrost board is not the cause.
It is wired in parallel with the compressor so when it is on the compressor should be on.

If not then it is a compressor or the compressor start device.
Another possibility is the capacitor but this would be very rare.
