A model number may be useful here.
Did you try turning the drum in the correct direction by hand?
It should turn fairly easily.
You may want to try this on a couple other units to get a feel for it.
From your posts so far it sounds like you have a bad motor even though you replaced it.
The symptoms you give point to a bad motor or too much drag on the drum/motor.
Have you checked the voltage to/at the motor?
It could be that something (bad connection, bad timer contacts etc.) in the motor circuit is dropping some voltage so the motor does not get 120 volts. This is a bit of a long shot as I would expect that you would see the bad connection over heating. |

Sounds like either capacitor issues or your primary or connection at the motor is going bad........either that or your short voltage to the motor take a reading should be 120v in two series of connections your primary and your secondary.
