Hi, I have this error (E1 F3) on my Whirlpool Gold self-cleaning oven. The model is GLSP84900. Picture of error code : http://i.imgur.com/ewTAgGS.jpgI made a quick search to understand that the error indicates that my temperature sensor might be defective. Picture of my sensor: http://i.imgur.com/rx0QVXV.jpgHowever, I have tested my sensor with a multimeter to confirm that it is in working condition. Set on ohms, I get a reading of ~1088ish, which is normal according to this video: Oven Sensor Test - YouTubeSo the problem is not with the temperature sensor itself. I really dont know what it could be, maybe something that has shorted? I have open the upper board and took a picture: http://i.imgur.com/LoiHglL.jpgI really need help with this guys, if you need any more pictures or want more details, please feel free to ask!

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool GLSP84900 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comI cannot find a tech sheet for this unit but other Whirlpools show E1 F3 as a shorted sensor. Since the sensor measures OK I would say that the control board is the problem. Unfortunately it looks like this timer is obsolete. There are companies out there that rewpair old boards/timers just Google "appliance timer repair" |
