I am having problems with my oven igniting. It started off sporadically now it is happening more frequently. I set my oven on self clean hoping it would do the trick. I took off the plate and saw the "glow stick" glowing but it will not ignite. I looked at the burner tube and that is clean as well. I took a lighter to the burner tube trying to manually ignite the oven. The oven reaches btwn 150-160° with the "glow stick". I have tried to turn it off and reset the temp. Which has worked in the past. Can you help me? I am stumped. Thank you, Mike.

Sounds like a bad ignitor, if the ignitor is ashy or white in color and not completely sparkly like a diamond surface it may be failing and will work but won't ignite everything properly or drops out over time and never really heats up to a good amp reading......it may glow but if it doesn't pull enough amps it won't allow the safety valve to open up and allow gas in. Assuming it's gas check from 120 v going to safety valve with the two wires coming into the top of the safety valve. if there's isn't 120v most likely it's a bad control board or oven knob if there is 120 it's either a bad ignitor or safety valve most likely.
