Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/28/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		hi, I have recently purchased a home with a tappan self-clean oven/range and attached microwave oven. the model number appears to be 77-4987-10. is this even a valid model number? i did not get the user/owner manual for this. where can I get this from, as I understand this brand is now discontinued? I am not sure how to use the self-clean on this model. can you help? thanks very much.

We turned on the self-cleaning on the Tappan in my mother-in-laws house and the fan kept running and the door stayed locked. I started from the beginning this time using the timers for one hour and it worked. this site is very helpful.:)
