Our Amana side by side suddenly isn't cooling well. I thought it was just the fridge side but it doesn't seem the freezer side is either. There is no frost buildup in the freezer, the fan runs, nothing is blocking the vents on either side and I can feel the transfer of air on the fridge side. The fridge is in our garage, and it's hot but no different than it has been since new. No odd noises, bad seals or bad behavior otherwise. Any ideas? It's been a great unit.
Thanks,

Here are your parts Parts for Amana ARS266ZBS - AppliancePartsPros.comFirst you have to determine what is running and what is not. You aid the evaporator (freezer) fan runs. Does the condenser/compressor fan run? Is the compressor running? You can usually here it but should also be able to feel it vibrating. Are they running all the time (except when in a defrost cycle) or are they cycling on/off? If cycling what is the frequency? Are the condenser coils under the unit and the vents (front and back) clean? |

Thanks for the quick reply. Everything is confirmed except the cleanliness of the coils and the frequency of the cycling. I'll check that first thing this evening. Thanks
