The was no indication that there was trouble with my dryer, the last load dried just fine. I selected the settings for the next load and pressed "start" there was a strange "zzzz" noise and the dryer would not start. I knew there was power as all the display settings that I chose were lit and the the drum light was on when I opened the door. I unplugged the dryer for about 30 minutes and tried again. The console displays lit as normal but there was nothing when I pressed the start button. Can anyone offer a clue??

Hello, Remove the toe panel and check the belt. If the belt is good, open the door and manually check how freely the drum is moving. If there is nothing wrong, unplug the dryer. Open the control panel, unplug the P1 connector at the control board and plug the dryer back. Check for 120 VAC between the P1-2 (white) wire and P1-5 (black) wire. If the reading is incorrect, the problem is outside the dryer. If the reading is correct, check for 120 VAC between the P1-3 (blue) wire and P1-5 (black) wire. The door has to be closed. If the reading is incorrect, replace the door switch. If the reading is correct, unplug the dryer and check for continuity between the P1-3 (blue) wire and P1 (light blue) wire. If there is no continuity, post the result and we will go further. If there is continuity, replace the control board. - The door switch Part number: 3406107
