The oven is giving an F2 error and shuts off. I think it might be the sensor but not sure

Here are your parts Parts for GE JSP42BK4BB Range - AppliancePartsPros.comF2 does come up as an overheating problem on most GE's. Try unplugging the unit for a couple minutes to see if the control board will reset. If this is happening after the oven has been on a while get a oven thermometer so you can be sure that the oven is not actually overheating. If the oven is not actually too hot, check the oven sensor. Below is a link on how to do this, look at 7, 8, 20 and 21. http://www.applianceaid.com/electric-range-repair-topics.phpIf the oven sensor is OK then check the connector where it attaches to the control board. If that is OK the odds are that the control board is toast. |
