A couple of weeks ago, the touchpad started to malfunction. Some of the buttons would not work. I unplugged it to reset it and the buttons would work a few times and then quit. It would work again after resetting it but eventually failed. I replaced the touchpad and it continues to have the same results. It will work a few times after resetting it and then quit. When the touchpad works, the oven functions and heats items up but the problem continues. Does that mean the control board needs to be replaced? Why would it work after resetting it and then quit???
Would appreciate your expert help!:)

Would appreciate your expert help!:) Coldoc, A couple of things you may want to try. remove power to the microwave, remove the control panel and disconnect the touch pad ribbon from the control board. Using electrical contact cleaner, check and clean the insertion end of the ribbon, make sure there are no twists, kinks or creases in the ribbon also spray and clean the connector on the control board. Re install the ribbon to the board and make sure the ribbon fits tightly in the connector. If the issue persists, then replace the control board Part number: AP4358930
