Hi! We have a Jenn Air Slide in Range that's been giving us problems. The first was F1-1 code when heating up. I replaced the temperature sensor and door switch (the upper right one with the plunger).

It seemed to work fine a couple times after that, but today it wouldn't heat up aftrer being on bake for 10 minutes, so we hit cancel and we got a F1-C code a few minutes later. And now the oven light won't come on when the door open.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Doug

Hi Doug,

Have you tested the temperature sensor before you replaced it or it was just a guessing?

Very likely the problem is a bad control board aka a clock.

- The control board Part number: 74007217
Part number: 74007217

Hi Gene, the temp sensor was in spec at room temp, but I replaced it anyway. I will get a control panel. Thanks for the help!

Oven won't heat up in regular amount of time. If we set it to 300 degrees it will take half an hour if it even gets to that then? When it was working correct it would make a gas valve squeal sound when the valve would open, but this isn't happening at the very beginning now. Is there something I should meter to check for continuity? Do you think it could be the temp. sensor?
