Roper 20" Electric Stove, approxamately 11 years old, . How do you install and orient the Thermostat rotary oven switch. Installed a new one and it doesn't work properly. Give me some idea of the therm wire in the oven and the general wiring of the thermo itself. No instructions with the new part and the schematic is hard to read on back of stove.

Hi.

What do you mean it doesn't work properly?
You can put the knob on only one way. Align the stripe on the knob with the "OFF" position on the control panel. The sensor bulb should be locked inside the oven in one or two clips.
Here the wire connection to the thermostat:
Black to BKE, YELLOW to BRL, ORANGE to PL, BLUE and BLACK to L1.
