I have a stackable Maytag Dryer that is working , but not drying well.
It shows a code of SE - or maybe it is 5E - and I cannot find any info on this.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi.

Sorry. Was not able to locate the diagnostic codes for this model. But I'd recommend you to check the air flow trough the dryer and entire vent to the outside for the restrictions.
Also check the thermistor. Locate the 6 pins/4 wires plug at the control board and check the resistance between R and WH. At room temp. - 60Kohm.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and 02-Cabinet parts for Maytag MDE2400AYW - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.

Hello,

There are no error codes listed for this model. If the problem is longer time to dry then I would suggest to clean the dryer and the vent line.

You also may want to check the thermistor (on the blower housing). The normal reading is 60K ohms at the room temperature.

- The thermistor Part number: 35001056
Part number: 35001056

We checked the Termistor, THOROUGHLY cleaned the dryer andexhaust vent, all parts "seem" to be ok with meter. But it only heats to 100 deg F. Any ideas?

What is the serial number of the dryer?

Where is the dryer located and what is the ambient temperature?

Remove the thermistor and check if it has a silicone rubber boot at the sensing bulb. If it does then remove that boot and give it a try.
