My Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 UC washer does not start. When I press the Start button, I hear the door latch click, and after a time, the bottom two lights (rinse/spin + wash/ready) begin flashing.

The manual suggestions that when the ready light flashes, the door might not be shut. I tried taking apart the door mechanism, but it is so simple that it's hard to see how anything could be wrong with it. (The manual doesn't say anything about what it means for *two* lights to be flashing, so I am not even certain this is the right idea.)

I started having this problem after an overload: the cycle stopped midway, and I had to unload a bunch of wet clothes by hand. Perhaps this is related?

I've had the power off to reset the machine, but to no avail.
