The oven heating element burned out with a hot spot igniting and the digital display went blank. I thought it was no big deal do I ordered a new element and installed it. However after switching the breaker back on the display is still black therefore making it impossible to turn on the oven, etc. I'm thinking that either the display was destroyed by a short when the element went or that maybe there's a reset for it that I haven't discovered. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,

Most likely the control board (display) got damaged by that short. Unfortunately this part has been discontinued and is no longer available.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Jenn-Air SVD48600P Range - AppliancePartsPros.com
