Hey guys! New here. Looks like a nice forum. Anyways... I have a Magic Chef mini fridge that doesn't cool at all. The thermostat is set at 7 on a scale from 1-7. When I plug it in, the compressor hums...no cycling. Absolutely no cooling. I'll havea DVOM in a couple days, but don't have one as of now. I'm no expert, but I'm assuming this is a switch issue. Here's a pic of the circuit..

If the compressor is warm and vibrating, but condenser is cool, you have a bad compressor or a refrigerant leak, either one a terminal failure.

There is a small puncture wound in the bottom of the freezer portion..does that hold refrigerant? When I plugged it in it started hissing from that hole..and I hoped it wasn't refrigerant. I super glued it :p and it stopped hissing...should've known it was toast.

If the compressor was on when it was punctured and left on for even a few minutes, it toast, throw it away, compressor sucked in h2o
