This top-loading HE cabrio washer is almost two years old and this is the first problem -- It can not drain nor spin. If you put in Drain/Spin (or just normal wash), it "Senses" for many minutes and then goes to 10 minutes and when down to 1 minute it goes to 10 minutes again. No draining and no spinning.
How do I check if this wtw5600xs0 drain is working? How do I check if the belt drive is OK? Any other possible things to check.
I have no repair manual and my web searching so far has not found a repair manual for this washer. Nice to have but maybe this is simple (drain or belt or ??), so help?

Does it agitate? If so, the belt is ok.

She put another load in and it filled but didn't start wash cycle. From my owners manual it does not show a belt, so..... It's a High Efficiency low water type but as far as I can tell it has everything but code display! Do you or ANYONE have any ideas, please? I'll also post in the open forum cuz I'm going to need help ASAP! Thanks very much tbn3.

This is a Whirlpool VMW belt drive model. They have been very problematic with a multitude of different problems. Here is the tech sheet for your washer. http://appliancejunk.com...opic=10651.0;attach=5862Here is a website devoted to this washer design. VerticalModularWasher.com | Troubleshooting and Repair HelpCheck the belt, check for a loose nut on the main drive pulley. Put it in service mode and check for error codes. Use the troubleshooting section to try and figure out your problem. The shift actuator is a very high failure item and can be faulty even when it checks good with the tests. Other problems are loose connections, broken wires, bad motor start/run capacitor, bad control boards, bad lid switches...etc. Eric
