I followed your instructions, purchased a motor from you folks and replaced my ice dispenser motor without any difficulty. Thank you for the concise directions and saving me a service call. My question involved the motor I removed. I noticed it appeared that water has leaked through the hex shaft down to the motor. Not sure what the specks are. I've attached pictures. Is the problem the boot? I suspect this may be the reason the original motor failed. How do I correct this? Thank you.

You probably want to replace the seal, washer and sleeve below the coupler on the shaft. #2198628, #2212370, #2212365.
